Shorebirds Also Return to Shallow Flood

This week has also witnessed the return of several White-faced Ibis, Greater Yellowlegs, a couple Willets, and two small groups of Western Sandpipers (28 in all) to the northern shallow flood region of the Owens Dry Lake. The Westerns were observed yesterday and the others today. Wilson's and Red-necked Phalaropes have also been coming through in greater numbers as well during the past weeks. Looking forward to seeing some old friends...
