Had two Great-tailed Grackles fly in this morning at the house. Also driving back from Las Vegas yesterday stopped at the pond along highway 95 just south of Beatty. Double-crested Cormorant, American Avocets, etc., but the prize was one female Red-breasted Merganser!! The bird quietly would swim the perimeter of the pond and got to have a nice long (about 30-minute) study of the bird!
