This blackbird has a distinct thick pure white wingbar on the folded wing. When the bird flies, the red above the white is visible. It's coming into a feeder behind our house about 6 doors down where a Eurasian Collared-dove and other blackbirds are feeding on seed. In the right light, it isn't black but a shiny dark blue from head to tail except for in the wings where it is still black. It was first discovered by hearing an unusual call-note which wasn't familiar. A downward harsh note. Park on Barlow at the "walk-thru" just before Meadowcreek housing starts and walk into the field along the ditch. It has also been in the tall willow that is along the ditch.
