A first summer bird floating and diving in the reservior. Top of head, back and sides of neck were washed out gray, back and flanks were brownish-gray, large bill was slate gray, neck and belly were white. Bird was seen about 1/2 mile north of boat ramp. The Heindel graphs have this species absent for the months of July and August. Also present were Cal. Gulls and one Herring-like Gull seen in flight.
