On lower Lee Vining Creek, two in the cottonwood snags where the Lee Vining sewage ponds seep through the hillside over the creek, and one in the gnarly Lombardy Poplar at the Picnic Grounds Road ford. The one in the poplar could have been one of the others, it is >1km downstream but I saw it over an hour later. One did not seem to have a fully-grown tail. A Western-wood Pewee foraged nearby for comparison. An extreme date according to Gaines.
