Sighting

On October 12, I repeatedly flushed up a group of 4-5 longspurs that I believe were Chestnut-collared longspurs. They were in a grassy area, had alot of white in the tail, a soft 2-3 note flight call, were chunky and short-winged, and fairly plain-colored. The birds were in a rather remote and not easily accessible area of southern Owens Valley, southeast of Lone Pine. In the vicinity, I also saw my FOF Ferruginous Hawk, and a few Pine Siskins.
